Battery Chemical Compatibility
|
Flite has identified certain chemicals that can accelerate fatigue cracking in the Flitecell case. Please review and follow these important care guidelines:
|
Avoid harsh products: Do not use WD-40, citrus-based cleaners, or contact cleaners.
|
|
|
Prevent chemical exposure: Keep the Flitecell away from sunscreens, lubricants, fuel, diesel, and thread-locking compounds (e.g., Loctite).
|
|
|
Clean gently: Use a soft cloth with mild soapy water. Do not spray water directly onto the Flitecell.
|
|
|
Maintain terminals: Clean terminals using a Q-tip and isopropyl alcohol (IPA) only.
|
|
|
|
|
|
Red and Green Lights Flitecell
|
When the red and green indicator lights appear simultaneously, this signifies that the Battery Management System (BMS) overcurrent protection has been activated. This typically relates to two primary root causes; however, please apply the Common Issues Diagnosis process identify the specific issue.
When isolating or diagnosing the problem, adhere to the following best practices:

Verify connections: Ensure the power cable connector between the Flitebox and Flitecell is fully inserted until it clicks.

Avoid repeated cycling: Do not repeatedly plug and unplug the battery or power the system on and off, as this can damage the voltage suppressor within the BMS.

Ensure dryness after cleaning: confirm all power cables and terminals have been cleaned and are completely dry before reconnecting and powering on.

|
|
All customers must register their product in the Flite App before bringing their equipment in for service. From Q2 2026, all warranty claims must be submitted via Service Mode in the App.

When working near Flitecells or Fliteboxes, use the glue-style versions Loctite 248 and Loctite 268 instead of 243 or 263.
